AHFA Awards Evening

On the 10th April 2016, the salon attended the AHFA’s Awards evening at the amazing Big Top in Luna Park, in support of our Creative Director and Revlon Professional Guest Artist Kaarina Hamilton who was a Finalist in the section of Excellence in Education.

This was the first year Kaarina had entered into the Australian Hair Fashion Awards in probably one of the toughest categories in the competitions, with her up against some of her idols like Sharon Blain and Caterina Di Biase, and someone who has helped train her a few years like ago Dario Controneo.

So for Kaarina this was a massive achievement for something she believes in so wholeheartedly – Education, and has shown amd strengthened her resolved in creating an amazing education platform over the next few years.

The Night

After an amazing Red Carpet affair, we were let in to the pre-awards area, for a bit of light socialisation, and of course since we are talking about hairdressers a nice range of alcoholic beverages.

After a little bit of time, we were then let into the main awards hall, for a sit down dinner and the main affair. The announcement of the winners of all the sections in the Australian Hair Fashion Awards.

As you can see Kaarina unfortunately wasn’t a winner, but to see her name up on the 20m screen amongst some of her idols, was truely and enthralling experience.

Then it was into the after party, now this is where the fun really beings. 2 1/2 hours of non-stop fun, what else does a bunch of hairdressers need.

Thanks to Revlon Professional for all their support for Kaarina in this current journey that she is on, plus a massive thanks to our staff who just keep on supporting us and allowing us, themselves and the salon to grow.
